I am privileged & honoured to pen few lines on this page. Kokrajhar Medical College is the tenth medical college in the state of Assam. It has been built in a large area with scenic beauties on the bank of river Gaurang in the Bodoland Territorial Area in the District of Kokrajhar, Assam. This Medical College has been conceived with an aim to provide quality medical education and health care services of this region, thus fulfilling the dream of both Central and State Government. After due inspection, the National Medical Commission has accorded permission to admit 100 students from this year, 2023-24. Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Sri Narendra Modi has inaugurated this Institution and dedicated to the Nation on 14th April 2023.

In the years to come, this Institution aspires to become a post graduate institute with state of the art facilities. Presently, it has all the necessary equipments and manpower as per requirement of NMC. State government is committed to fulfil all the requirement year by year up to the satisfaction of the National Medical Commission.

Students will have no problems in staying in the campus. There are separate Boys and Girls hostel with single seater and double seater rooms. There will be independent mess facility for fooding. Enough open space is there for outdoor activities. Gymnasium will be there to take care of the health.

Faculties are very young and energetic. They are the best faculties coming from all the Medical Colleges of Assam to teach and serve here. Teachers are ready to welcome the first batch of students.

In nutshell, I can only state that students would love to stay and study in this campus & patients will also benefit from the services.
