Kokrajhar Medical College and Hospital (KMCH), is a medical institution located at Kokrajhar, India. Established in 2023, it is affiliated with the Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences (SSUHS). The college aims at providing quality medical education to the students and producing skilled medical professionals who can cater the healthcare needs of the region. It also provides facilities for high-end research works for the faculties as well as for students in medical field. The hospital section is dedicated to the service of mankind to heal the patients’ suffering from various ailments in the region. The medical college has a state-of-the-art infrastructure with modern facilities, including modular operation theatres, well-equipped laboratories, blood bank, high powered imaging machines, ICUs, libraries, lecture halls and many more. Presently it offers undergraduate MBBS course only and aims at upgrading to all speciality and super specialty facilities in future. The college has got highly academic and experienced faculty members and is committed to providing a comprehensive and holistic education to its students. With its focus on quality education and research, Kokrajhar Medical College is poised to become a leading medical institution in the country.
ABOUT KMCH
Kokrajhar is situated in Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR), a beautiful and rapidly growing town surrounded by mesmerizing scenic forests and hills located in the Western part of Assam.
The town is well connected with the major cities of North-East and the mainland India with Railways having stoppage of major trains, four lane National Highway is passing nearby. The nearest airport functioning is Rupsi at around 65 kms distance and the next is Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport at Guwahati around 225kms away from Kokrajhar.
Foundation stone of 500 bedded Kokrajhar Medical College and Hospital (KMCH) with an intake capacity of 100 MBBS students per year was laid on 6th January, 2019.
The medical college is is established by Govt. of Assam and affiliated to Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences (SSUHS), Guwahati National Medical Commission (NMC) inspected KMCH on 31/01/2023. KMCH got LOI on 14/02/2023 and LOP on 22/02/2023 for admission of 100 students every year. Read more..

I am privileged & honoured to pen few lines on this page. Kokrajhar Medical College is the tenth medical college in the state of Assam. It has been built in a large area with scenic beauties on the bank of river Gaurang in the Bodoland Territorial Area in the District of Kokrajhar, Assam. This Medical College has been conceived with an aim to provide quality medical education and health care services of this region, thus fulfilling the dream of both Central and State Government. After due inspection, the National Medical Commission has accorded permission to admit 100 students from this year, 2023-24. Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Sri Narendra Modi has inaugurated this Institution and dedicated to the Nation on 14th April 2023. Read More..
